Pre-Summer

There are officially 58 days until summer (I counted). That's a little under two months. In preperation for summer, here are somethings that you should do. The things you should do are written first and my own comments are below. If you don't have much time, skip my comments, they're just time wasters :)

1. Start compiling a list of nail art for summer.

In case you're having a hard time, my Pinterest account has a board about nails that you should check out. Just click the Pinterest button at the top left corner of the screen.

2. Buy a new swimsuit.

I've always loved swimsuit shopping, even if I don't buy a swim suit. Plus, if you're at a store, you could also spend some time to find some new flip flops or coverups.

3. Test your inflatables.

If you've got kids, or you're planning to use some of your inflatables (If I had any lying around I would use them!), make sure you test them out a some point. It really sucks when you get to the beach or your vacation destination (that rhymes!) and find out your stuff has holes in it and you need new ones.

4. Get a fan.

I remember one summer, I didn't buy a fan beforehand and there were several sleepless nights due to the heat. Save yourself some sleep and buy a fan in the spring before the heat sets in.

5. Practise some summer hairdos.

Look up a few and you'll see that they are all similar. They usually have your hair off your shoulders and look messy. Practise these because, at least for me, messy hair styles are hard to pull off!

6. Find someone in advance who is willing to take care of your pets (if you have any).

My cat, Sydney, and my guppies will definately need someone who can take care of them. Also, I'm going to need to find a way to cat proof my fish tank lid. Every few days, Sydney finds a way to knock it off. Luckily, he hasn't ever tried to get a fish. If you need an automatic fish food feeder, try this homemade one. Super simple desgin.

7. Start a watermelon farm.

Just kidding! But buying fruit trees is a pretty good idea (watermelons don't grow on trees though).

8. Get your garden ready.

This one goes with the watermelon farm. If you want some fresh vegetables or fruits, you should really start a garden. Unless you want to go to the store and buy vegetables that someone else grew. That's just gross :)

9. Build an inground pool.

Okay, this isn't a fair one. Not everyone has the money, space or time to get an inground pool. But, you could look up some rivers or lakes near you to cool down in.

10. FInd some icecream recipies.

No comment needed.

I think ten is enough. I'll probably add to this later, but you don't need more - that'll just stress you out!

Till next time:)
